Graphically, Power Stone is awesome, the characters are all very bright and animate perfectly and the backgrounds are generally vibrant. However as good as Power Stone is graphically you really don't realize it because of one thing, the gameplay. Power Stone moves so much faster than other fighting games that when you first start playing it might be a little bit overwhelming, but it wont take too long to adapt to the quicker style of play. What makes Power Stone stand out is the level of interaction you have with the backgrounds as you can use anything that's not nailed down, and even some things that are to beatdown your opponent, in addition to that there are various weapons ranging from lead pipes to rocket launchers that randomly appear on the battlefield to help you defeat your opponents. The random weapons and background interaction play a huge role in the game and make it one of the most fun and original fighting games in ages. The reason you have so much interaction with backgrounds and such a wide array of weapons to use during the fights is so that you can collect all of the "power stones" and have your character temporarily transform into a more powerful form in which you can dish out massive amounts of damage to your opponent.
The sound effects are crisp and there's a fairly large number of them, they serve there purpose well enough. The music much like the sound effects is good enough but you wont find yourself really paying much attention to it.
As for the control, it's extremely responsive and everything works without a hitch, and really that's all that needs to be said about the game in terms of control.
Overall Power Stone is an incredible game that anyone, even people that normally don't like fighting games can enjoy. It's no doubt the most underrated of the free downloadable games.
